CEL plus hard starting and rough idle

A week ago I started up my 8 and the CEL started flashing and the rad light came on for 10 seconds. The rpms were up and down for a good 20 seconds and then everything was normal. A few days later the CEL went off. Today I had a hard time starting it (more so than normal maybe a good 8 seconds of cranking). Third owner 2004 MT 80,000 kms. Have not done coils or plugs. I'm getting my B&B midpipe tomorrow and I want to get this cleared up before i get a CEL from that. Also when I'm stopped sometimes the rpms will drop to 500 but will go back up on its own.

I'm thinking do the coils?? Please help a brotha out.

Depends, do you want to stay OEM, or do you want to upgrade? I would recommend upgrading to BHR, but that depends on your financial situation

There are a few places:

BHR
Mazmart
FinishLine Performance
Race Roots

If you plan on keeping the car for a long time and have the money I would buy the BHR Ignition System. I would also recommend new spark plugs
