Clutch Pedal Soft
Ok so I didnt really want to start a new thread but I just want to see what others think about this.
So basically about two months ago it started getting more difficult for me to put my car into gear when I first started it up but once it got warm it would go into gear fine. Well next it started to become hard to put into gear when downshifting so I figured that I needed to replace the clutch. Ordered a new clutch which is still sitting around since I havent got around to having it put in yet.
But lately ive been thinking maybe the slave cylinder is bad also because when I first start the car up now the clutch pedal has tons of free play, it moves about halfway down its travel before there is any resistance. Only after I pump up the pedal about ten times or so do I get a good pedal feeling again. So does anyone think the slave cylinder also needs to be replaced?
If anyone needs more information to help let me know and ill get what I can.

did you if check the clutch pedal is broken? very normal problem on RX8's for having rubbish clutch pedal.
what you do is you get down the footwell, move the pedal side to side and push down on it abit, see if the weldings close to the firewall start to come apart or not.
Mazda has announced 8yr/100k miles clutch pedal warranty so you can get a new one if the current one is broken.

Well the last time I checked it about 2 months ago it was still good, but I should probably go check that again I wasnt really thinking that it would just do that I figured if it broke it would just break completly off.
But then again if thats the case IDK why it would only be soft like that upon start up before I pump it up a few times.
