Clutch Petal Squeek(Dealership says its not the clutch)
Ok so i know that there are a million threads out there that state once your clutch petal starts squeaking that its going to brake or there is a bracket that needs to be replaced or that its under the recall but i havent read one that tells me the outcome after they take it to the dealership.
I have a 2005 MAZDA RX8 and ive taken it to the dealership twice for this issue, the first time they charged me to lube the clutch which was a waste of money.
Today they looked at it for a second time and they said it doesnt sound like its coming from the clutch cause they can hear it outside of the car.
They the clutch petal is fine and there is no crack or anything with the bracket or the clutch itself and that there is no issue with the clutch so it cannot be replaced under warranty. Then they said the first step is to flush the clutch fluid and cost is $110.00 which i feel like is a waste of money. What else can i do to fix the issue? could it be covered under the engine warranty cause i cant think of what else it could be.
Please help! Thank you!

Clutch is not engine warrantee it's wear and tear.
I just changed my clutch, if it is that making the noise it should change when you depress the clutch mine use to make a funny noise about 10,000 miles before it gave out. When it is worn out it will start slipping in the high gears.
I believe the recall was for the clutch pedal snapping off, which is why they checked the pedal.
You can change the clutch fluid yourself and it will be quicker then driving to the dealer and only cost a few dollars. I presume there is a thread on here or check out youtube

I have a squeaky clutch pedal... It's free of cracks, one of these days I'll get some grease up in the clutch springs. But it's hard :/
I honestly assume your dealership it just ******* with you. Get your head down under the dash so you can see the 2 springs running perpendicular to the clutch pedal, push the clutch in and see if you can hear it. If you can, try and identify where the squeak is coming from and blast it with some white grease, NOT OIL. Oil will just run off after a few days. My dealership oiled it up for me, but it just ran off within a week or so.

Okay ill try some of those things this weekend, thanks guys. I just dont understand what it could be i mean my clutch feels great it hasnt ever slipped and the squeak only happens when i pull the clutch petal out not when i pust it in. Im going to try to find a rotary mechanic down here to get a second opinion instead of taking it to the dealership.

The clutch pedal assembly is going bad when it starts to squeak. Its NOT the clutch itself. Im referring to when you actually press down on the clutch pedal or when it comes back. The recall is called ssp82 or something close to that (special program) but it was only vin specific in 04's the and 05's. If they checked your vin and it didnt pop up then unfortunately yours is still going bad and it may not be covered. The good news is if you search around a few mazda rx8 sites you can get a new clutch pedal assembly for about 200 and have someone put it on cheap if dealer doesnt wanf to do it. Try mazmart, or BHR makes a better clutch pedal assembly. I had this same problem btw...

So i took in my 04 to get the bracket replaced but the dealership said it wasnt the bracket and that its a transmission problem. I had it replaced once before after it finally stopped letting me go into gear and it fixed the problem but i used the stock pedal assembly not the reinforced. It's doing the same thing it did last time so does the dealership not know what they are talking about or could it actually be a transmission problem?

break: separate or cause to separate into pieces
brake: a device for slowing or stopping a moving vehicle
squeak: a short high-pitched sound
squeek: no such word
Don't make me write this again.
