Clutch slipping in high rpms rarely

04 RX8, got it about 3 months ago, learned manual in it, has 57,000 miles, don't know how the other driver drove, but I drive fairly hard, I'm in higher RPMS, sometimes 9000, maybe once every few days in spurts. I've got the shifting and everything learned, smooth, learned all the dos and don'ts etc, and even when I'm having my fun I don't jump in hard from a stop into first. Well around 7000 RPM one day when I went to shift.....it's almost like it jumped into neutral early the moment I touched the clutch, slipping would be the best way I could describe it, but its my first manual. After this happening randomly a couple more times, always only at high rpms, after awhile of driving, I dropped it at my uncles (mechanic) so he could look at it. He bleed the clutch and drove it etc etc, said the clutch looked, sounded, and felt fine. I mentioned that it only did it when I was really on it, and he said he only went to 5000 rpms, but that it sounded like what was going on was because of getting the clutch hot from hard driving?

Doesn't sound right to me, b/c I have driven hard from time to time once I learned to do a manual well, and it has never done that before, even with extended periods of driving quickly. Though, everything is perfect when I drive normally, and now its a lot warmer weather (got it in winter) so could it possibly be heat?

Edit: Not sure if it makes a difference or not but, the last time it seemed to do it before my foot was even on the clutch, it just went into neutral.
