Have you tried redlining since you brought the car to the dealer? You should try to see if the check engine light comes back on. If not, the dealer may have noticed a wire that wasn't tight or something. Instead of them telling you and looking incompitent, they push it on and make up some BS. I've seen it before.
All i have to say is that if its coils that is BS! Becuase i travel alot between my full and part time jobs and stuff and if i have to replace coils every year.... that would suck and be such an inconvenience. I probably do between 15-20K a year with my car depending where i go that year....

Due to rain and my 8's own rising problems (https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-trouble-shooting-95/series-problems-probably-engine-related-195409/#post3522166), we might not be able to address this today. Currently trying to find a ride back to Providence from Liberty Mazda in Wakefield MA so I can drop my 8 off there for them to address.

The dealer might have done some new wiring but I doubt they replaced the spark plug wires. I have brand new spark plug wires that we can use if Mike feels that might be the problem or if you havent replaced them in awhile. I might have my old coils somewhere now that I think of it. They worked, I just replaced them when I bought the car. Hmmmmm...... where would I have put them.
that is fine with me dude! Something is def misfiring in that damn thing.... i am actually going to email Mike and see what he is up to this Sunday... i will be near his area and i want to get this thing fixed so i can see if the check engine light goes off. If not i have to bring it to a dealer to clear that check engine light off so i can get my car inspection....

Anyone know of anyone who does good body work on cars? Someone hit and run my car... someone hit the rear drivers side back wheel well. F'n A-HOLES!!! My deductible is high and trying to find someone that will do it cheaper maybe under table without getting their jobs involved... keep me posted if you know anyone. Thanks!
