Console dimming lights don't come on

Console dimming lights don't come on
So i tried to install a gauge pod where the cigarette lighter goes and seem to have a little problem. I installed the main power into the large plug for the cigarette ligher. It also called for a 12v power source that is connected to the dimming lights to make the gauges dim when you turn your headlights on. So i spliced into the led bulb that was down there. Now not only does my gauge pod not dim but the main console does not light up. I'm talking about the radio buttons and ac controls. It's dark even when I turn my head lights on. I put the LED bulb back in the same spot and it does not light up
I checked the fuses by the kick panel and they are fine. Everything works in the car except the dimming lights when you turn your headlights on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So you installed a gauge pod where the ashtray used to be and the now none of the lights work in the center console? your talking about the back lighting for the radio correct? if you are make sure you didn't dislodge the pins in the back of the radio while you were installing. I know its a crazy thought but just make sure the radio is seated properly. Also some people have had the reverse effect from the dimming feature with some gauges where they go dimmer the brighter you try to make it and vice versa.

those are the correct lights that i'm talking about. The radio lights don't come on, but also the speedo lights don't dim when the lights are turned on. I know about the pins on the radio that has happened to me before. But it didn't have any affect on the dash lights. Is there any other fuses then under the hood and by the drivers feet.
Any light that turns on with the head lights on the interior do not work. There has to be a fuse somewhere for this.

I looked through a 2004 the wiring diagram that i found on the site. It looks like it's the TNS Relay (TAIL). Makes sense since I've checked all the fuses. For future reference the TNS relay controls the following things and they are all illumination NOT function. PAGE 76 of 2004 electrical diagram
LCD unit illumination
DSC off swtich
audio unit
ashtry
cigarette lighter
seat warmers
power windows subswitch
power window main switch
gear selector for AT
car navigation control switch
I'll let you know if that definitely is it after I get a new relay

it was the illumination fuse. I was using one of those fuse testers that lights up green when you hold it up to the metal spots on the top of the fuse. It was totally bad yet the LED still lite up green. Moral of the story pull the fuse and look at it, don't take the testers word for it.
