Coolant Leak (Possible Overflow???)
So I topped off my coolant yesterday because it was low. I have a 04 and the coolent resevior is so dark that I couldn't see the full line and where the coolant was at. I definitly put to much coolant in the bastard. Now I noticed it is leaking in my garage.
Now my question is, if you put to much coolant in the car does it have a overflow valve mechanism or something? That is the only conclusion I can come up with. Everything was ok until I over filled it like a dumbass so I don't think it is a crack or leak anywhere but who knows.
Anyone with suggestions would be good or had a similar problem etc.

Yes, there is an overflow tube that runs off the side of the coolant bottle. Its right next to the coolant cap you removed to fill the bottle. If you put too much in there, once the engine was hot the coolant overflowed and spilled out through that tube. Unless you're consistently loosing coolant, I wouldn't worry too much about it.

Thanks guys for the prompt reply. I figured it was such. Pretty stupid they would design the overflow tube to dump onto a harness. Chalk up another one to the Mazda engineers for being idiots.
