Coolant leaking....is it mixing with oil???

Hi, I have RX8 2004. I've been owner for last 4-5 months... Before purchasing I took it for some tests, did compession test, etc...everything was OK. Only problem was lambda sonda 2(dunno if thats how you say it on english...).
I've been hearing a lot about RX8 engine problems. I refilled it with oil only once so far and when I was doing it I didnt notice anything strange...
Lately this started happening:
First of all fuel consumption went really high...about 20l/100km...thought it went high cause of very cold weather...but now the temperatures are back to normal but consumption is still 20l.
Few days ago I noticed that the heating doesnt work anymore.
Thats when I red that if you lose coolant your heating wont work...?
At that time someone told me that the place where I park my car had big leak of some fluid on the grass.
After that I started worrying...I checked oil and the level was still above min. Then I opened the oil cap(where you pour in oil) and I saw strange yellow mass on the top of the cap. Oil dip stick(for controling oil level) also has strange mass on it...something white-gray...
I red that mass on the dip stick is normal for RX8 and also yellow mass on the cap can be usual...is that true?
My biggest worry is that my engine mixes coolant and oil....
That was my first guess when I saw the yellow mass on the oil cap and lack of coolant.
But also since there was big leak under my car that might have been coolant...which would mean that coolant isnt mixing with oil...
Car itself is running nicely, except for little shakes while in neutral....might be lambda sonda problem which regulates the exhaust...?
Sooo...did any of you have similar problems?
Can you give me some advice on what to do...etc? Fuel consumption is very big problem...
Thanx in advance...

All I can add is that yes it is normal to have that stuff on the dipstick/cap on the RX-8, normally in colder weather.

If you're running round town all the time then high 15 to 16s isn't out of the question. I have a 2003 and get 10L on highway and 15-16 round town (with the occasional 9k of course).

As regards the missing at idle. Do a search, use google, use rx8club and "criteria of search". All the info is on this site. Read this: https://www.rx8club.com/new-member-forum-197/new-potential-owners-start-here-202454/

You might like also to start at your mention of topping up your oil (to what level?), and then later (how much later? one tank? a month?) checking the dip stick and seeing it was just about the min level ... just saying

20l\100km?
The previous owner must have neglected the car. It needs some serious maintenance.

Search for: Clogged catalytic converter, ignition, compression etc.
