Post Coolant Sensor

I have a 2007 RX8...the coolant sensor goes on at times while i drive, but of course my coolant level is fine. I hear this is a very common problem with the rx8. I'd appreciate any input. thanks all..

Probably need something like this, do your research to make sure though.

TANK, SUB & SENSOR (N3H1-15-351G) - $110.81 - N3H115351G

Good luck,
Michael

You could just unplug the coolant level sensor to keep that light from coming on. You really don't need it anyway, just check it every once in a while to make sure it's good.

Or he could just search himself and decide on his own what the best route to take is.

you don't need it until a puncture in the coolant system occurs and as a result the engine fried before you caught it on the idiot temp gauge

there's no such thing as a "slight" overheat on a rotary engine

^ Absolutely right.

You don't need a low coolant light to remind you that you haven't checked coolant level in a few months and now it's a bit low. You need it to alert you to the fact that you've suffered a sudden loss of coolant from hitting a rock, pot hole, debris... whatever.

People who suggest taping over the light seem oddly unable to grasp that concept.
