Crossmember bolt

Crossmember bolt
So what are my options here...I was trying to diagnose this weird clunk/crunchy crunchy sound I hear when I do some moderate fast breaking.
I was under the car poking around, making sure everything is tight and there was nothing jammed or stuck in anything. I also retorqued all the cross member bolts for my 6 point and found that one of them just spins.... Ican't un-do the bolt by hand so it is in there ok (I guess) but if I try and tighten it, it won't.
Now I expeienced something similar on my 87 MR2 and it was because the threading in hole destroyed itself partially. I fear taking the bolt out cause it is at least in there doing something.
what do you think? On my MR2 I was able to solve the problem cause I would get to both sides of the hole so I drilled out the threading and just stuck the highest grade bolt and locking nut I could to fix it, but here I can't really do that nor would I want to.
