Cylinder 2 MISFIRE I TRIED EVERYTHING!

So I would hate to have to get rid of my 8. But, my car has been on 5 flat beds and 3 shops 1100 bucks, 14 days and a sexy Hyundai accent!!! NO ANSWERS!!
My car 2 weeks ago misfired and stalled on the road. The CEL flashes I take it to a shop the family mechanic whom changed a "leaky fuel injector" and threw in the towel 5 days later. Off to the dealer the say I need a starter and ignition coils. I put the ignition coils in along with the starter. Take it to a third shop and they flood the engine and finally get it to turn on but say that my spark plugs which I changed 3 months ago were bad. Car now runs but still misfires runs rough the code is a CYLINDER MISFIRE 2. I call the dealer they say you need wires and to reset the ESS. the mechanic says he reset it with the handheld device. I bought the wires and still misfiring. They dont know what to do. Any Ideas the car has 41k AT 04 Rx8. Maybe the ESS reset only work's with the 20 brake pump method. I am not sure but its been 2 weeks I am thinking now maybe seafoaming... It has a half tank of gas and now they are telling me that my radiator has been leaking for a while ( like I am gonna waste more money the car ran fine) and the compression is good. I cant find Anyone who can help... Let my prayers be answered.

An accent? Lame lol
Why couldn't it at least be a genesis or sonata? haha

But if I were you, I would go to the misfire thread and confirm you tried everything, 'cause you have to have missed something. You reset the ESS by the brake-stomp method, not with any device I know of.

-Make sure the wires are installed in the correct positions
-Make sure the Leading & Trailing plugs are installed in the correct positions
-It's possible you got a bad ignition coil(s). You can see if they're firing with a timing light

Cliffjumper I replaced the wires, starter, plugs, coils. What was confusing is that I told the mechanic to use the brake stomp method and he said he reset the code with a hand held code reader which made no sense. The compression is good and i rev my mazda daily. SO.. Im gonna try that and let you guys know how it goes... and the accent is a rental it was suppose to be a cheap ride come to find out the weekend rates are alot better than the weekly rates

I know you replaced that stuff, I just wanted you to make sure it was all installed correctly. Those mistakes I mentioned in my previous post are really easy to make. You could've installed the plug wires in the wrong positions, mixed the leading and trailing plugs up, or even gotten a bad ignition coil. Just 'cause it's new doesn't necessarily rule it out

i think mistake 1, was three different mechanics... one mechanic is confused enough, three is hopeless.

1a, is that non of the three seem to be any good.

but anyways, the brake stomp thing is easy, turn key to ON, but don't start the engine, pump the brakes until the oil pressure gauge moves, and you're done.

Well I replaced the plugs myself and new the coils were going. But when my car died int he middle of the road i figured i would trust the family mechanic because I had no time to do it myself. Unfortunately he said it needed a new fuel injector because the one was leaking which he replaced and tested the compression which was good, otherwise it still misfires. Then I sent it to Mazda but they were ready to rake me through the coals for a starter which I new I could replace for cheap along with the coils. So I replaced both myself and It still misfired and would not turn over. I sent it to another shop whom I dealt with before thinking they would be more helpful. They discovered with all the failed attempts to start it was flooded. He told me that he had to look online to figure out how to deflood it they also replaced my plugs because they were now allegedly fuel damaged but the car is running and idling. However she is still misfiring. After having them do the 20 pump test they said it didn't work. Initially I told him about the 20 pump break test and he said he cleared the code with the scanner.
at this point they don't know what to do so 1700 bucks later...off to the dealer she goes!!! I am gonna check the plugs, wires, and the brake test just make sure and clean off the ESS and MAFS just to be sure becasue these dudes were not convincing in their work! Telling me that my radiator has been leaking blah blah blah my car ran fine up until the misfire!!!!
