Dealership changed cat=exhaust sounds way different?(examples inside)
My cat was bad(glowing), and they ended up replacing it without much hassle. The car has a tanabe exhaust. It sounds much different then it used to.
Here is the way it did sound(not my car) at idle
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=37xdBuurGDs
This is that tanabe revving

Now here is how it sounds(my car)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AV9SwkV7Tgc
Any reasoning for this? In need of some help here, thanks.

A non clogged cat shouldn't make the exhaust sound like **** the way it does now--it sounds like a busted civic with a fart cannon. Was there a part change on the catalytic converter that mazda previously used to the ones they are using now? I'm at a loss as of why the tone has changed so dramatically.

tanabe exhaust sound like that (normally)
you probably never heard another one in person before you got yours did ya ?
unless you have an exhaust leak somewhere, which I doubt. but it could happen.
