Diagnosing clunking front suspension/steering rack issue
Hey guys, here comes another one from me about my 8 falling apart. XD
I am starting to hear a pretty minimal but still concerning clunking from the front suspension.
I went under there tonight and gave every bit of linkage a nice tug and nothing seems to be wrong.. all bushings look in good shape and nothing is wiggling at all. The only thing that had any play at all was the passenger side wheel hub assembly, which i am assuming can be attributed to the hub/bearing assembly itself, but i dont think this is the noise i am hearing.
It happens at lower speeds, while turning either direction or while braking. Not exclusively, though, meaning it doesnt always happen while braking, and it doesnt always happen while turning, but these seem to be the scenarios where it is isolated, or at least the easiest to recreate for troubleshooting purposes.
again, nothing suspension related seems to be out of line. The car drives and handles the same..
Could it be steering rack related?? That would suck. I am a bit confused so just looking for second opinions at this point.

Still getting this... any thoughts guys? It definitely is more of an issue at lower speeds and really isn't directly related to braking or turning. Maybe axle got warped and is hitting frame? Struts are janky and or hitting UCAs??
