Display Console Intermittent Electrical Problem
Hey Guys,
Being having a problem with display console for several months now and it drives me crazy.
The centre display turns on and off intermittently which means the radio goes off also and all the controls for the a/c and inoperable.
It works for a while, goes off then works for a while again. Very annoying.
Does anyone have suggestions how i might diagnose where the ruth of the problem lies. It sounds like a loose connection somewhere. Only started happening when i replaced the battery. I've been around all the the appropriate fuses checked the battery connection. Everything seems fine.
Any advice on how to figure this out would be much appreciated.
Thanks

it's not your display you should be considering the problem. The display, radio, and a/c inop are symptoms of a *larger* problem.
Most likely you're losing voltage to either power these (does your radio go silent or does it still play) or if your radio keeps playing you're most likely losing connection at the faceplate somewhere. All 3 items or loosely grouped, but the display has no real control over anything, it's just an output/outlet.

Yes the radio goes silent when the display goes off. However the a/c still works if it has been set before the display goes blank. The controls are inoperable though when it does go blank.
So what do you think it is, a voltage problem or a connection problem?
Thanks

I have a very similar problem. I am having problem with the right half of the display screen that shows such things as outside temp, and heating, cooling settings. When it turns intermittently turns off, I lose control of the heating and AC controls. I still get the fan though.
