Do the plugs with the notches make any difference?

Forgive me for asking stupid questions here but I changed the plugs and the new leading plugs had the notches in them. I read some about them but does it really make any difference in how it runs/starts?

The notches on the lead plugs were intended to resist fuel and oil fouling and improve starting.

WOW I do believe they could have been the ORIGINAL plugs with 130k miles on them although I may be mistaken. I'm going to have to search this "reflash" you guys keep talking about. It sounds like there is some sort of computer upgrade??

And you posted in the wrong sub-forum

Welcome to the forum, you're off to a great start like the rest of the noobtards that joined this year.

So 130K miles with no updates? You should get the VIN history from Mazda....

LOL no!

Yes, I'm sorry I was not clear enough.

You don't have to read any of the pages.

(I'm saying this in fun of the threads title) -->>> Just post your dumb question at the end of the thread ... no one cares if its been asked already and no one cares how dumb it is!

Other than RIWWP New owners thread ... the dumb question thread is my favorite.
