I have an 04 Mazda rx8, It has compression, spark and fuel. However, it wont start, its not flooded. However, the IMT valve is stuck open according to advanced auto. I had it decarbed according to Mazda and it has 127,000 on the car. Would the IMT valve cause my car not to start?:ban ghead:

Manual or Auto?
Manual........... try and pull or push start it.
My guess is weak battery and/or weak starter. The 04's had weak starters....is yours original?
You can search for a thread that will tell you the two part numbers and you can climb under there and check.
As Jon just eluded to...........we don't have an IMT. What code did they pull?

LOL... RX8s don't have a IMT valve.
The code associated with that valve on other vehicles is P2070.
On the RX8, that is the SSV.
You can read about troubleshooting that here:

I've dealt with stuck SSVs, but none of those times have I seen it not allow the car to at least start.
What were the compression numbers and at what RPM?
How did you check the ignition components?
Did you check fuel pressure or drip rate to verify it had fuel?
Which "deflood" method did you use?
and as Mazurfer pointed out... weak starter and battery causes starting issues too (which leads to flooding)
