Drivetrain still bouncy after solid mount install
Hey guys. I was wondering if someone could help me out. I recently replaced my shot oem engine mounts with a set of (now defunct) Mazsport solid mounts. I just feel that there is a lot of flex in the ppf. What is something that I should look into in order to get rid of this flex? And for those that are running the race roots solid mounts what were the to specs for your engine mounts at the part that mounts to the subframe?
I've also looked at the beat rush trans stabilizer but I feel that there is something that I could be looking at. Basically I want to make everything feel as solid as possible. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

First off I am simply asking a question that I want an answer for, not some comments that warrant absolutely no value. It is a waste of my time and yours as well. If you wanna high five each other start another thread congratulating each other.
Second, if this is a NVH issue that you are criticizing me for than obviously our goals are not the same and you should assume so before making helpless comments.
Third off, I understand the applications of undue stress on different components when upgrading to solid mounts but again, my goals are to create a drivetrain that is non civilian, not something that your girlfriend could enjoy with you on a Weekend getaway...
So please, if you are going to criticize me motives than please backup your explanations with any kind of data or value added information.

Thanks for the sound input. I know with the ppf there aren't tooany options in regards to stiffening due to the large gap between mounting points. Are there know cases of te rear diff mounts softening in relative short periods of time? I did drive with a bad mount for quote some time which could have softened things up.

I checked under the car for extra movement at the diff and at the engine mounts and find virtually zero. I then check the middle section and under loads it looks as if my PPF is flexing at the the mount point both vertically and horizontally. I think a brace is in order. I may make one with a soft mount so it isn't completely rigid and can allow some movement. Im assuming everybody has this feeling in their 8? I came from an FC and E36 with solid mounts everywhere and guess I am just not used to having a trans that bounces around.

It won't be the PPF thats causing your problem, assuming it hasn't been damaged and is bolted up tight.
It will be the rear diff mounts. they are quit soft. You won't move them by hand, but under load, they can move quit a bit, to the point where the whole rear end will jump up and down, especially if you are turboed etc.
Replace the diff mounts with something more solid and the problem will go away.
I replaced mine with SuperPro Diff Centre Support Bushes. part no - SPF3404-80K
SuperPro Suspension Parts | Poly Bushings | Suspension Bushes | Sway Bar Bushing Kits | Biggest range of polyurethane suspension parts, bushings and bushes including swaybar and sway bar kits manufactured in Australia.
No more problems.
