Eh Gettin a lil worried
Alright like in my past posts, i explained my 8 randomly shut off on a trip to the airport, turning into the terminal, on a highway stop 65-70mph stop to a turn, rpm decreases, decreases, decreases, goes all the way to 0 and car shuts off, i basically unclamp my battery and reclamp it and it after a few trys it starts up again, so i havent worried about it unti a few days ago i was at a stop light waitin to turn green and car just shut off again. ~.~ I took it again to one of my friends hooked up the CPU and said Everything was perfectly fine, just to be sure i took it to advanced auto parts to check my battery and radiator, and they both checked out just fine, then the guy told me i should check my fuel system more specifically my fuel filter, What do you guys think? Anyone else having this problem??

Please give us the history on your car. The service it's had and parts replaced. Model year miles, type of driving it gets(long commutes), fuel used(reg or prem), oil type and consumption, ever flooded, red lined. Just any thing that you can add

I would say spark plugs. If they get worse you will feel a slight hesitation when you ask for some power. You could run a can of Seafoam(Walmart $8) with half tank(run it til empty) of gas and see what that does for you. Spark plugs are 50-80 bucks and less than an hour to replace.

If you were going to do a Mazda-ZOOM type de-carbon treatment I would recommend a oil&filter change at that time. If you want to do a minor cleanup I have used Seafoam with a half or quarter tank of gas with good results. Some times doing this twice to get best results. I have tried many many names in spark plugs in over 522K miles on seven different RX's and NGK(OEM) are the best and the only ones to use.

No reason to change it then because you are not flooding the engine with liquid cleaner(like you do in the more complete Mazda-ZOOM job) and turning it off soaking wet for hours. It is burning it up as it cleans. I would give it a good wringing out when you are running it threw. Here is a copy of the Mazda TSB de-carbon cleaning.
