Angry Electricity issue in my 04 Rx-8!

Hello all,

Lately I am experiencing a weird problem in my 2004 Mazda Rx-8... The electricity of the dashboard and sometimes other things just turns off and back on again (while driving)..

Today.. the whole car turned off as soon as I stopped at my house!

I am thinking it's a fuse issue?? dunno.. if it is.. do you guys know what fuse could be causing this problem!?

Thanks in advance..

Alt or battery is dead/dying maybe? Check all your fuse's though to cover all your bases before going nuts on a local dealer. Could be something as simple as a lose wire connection that some moron tech didnt hook back up at your last service, but who knows atm.

Thanks for the reply.. but can you provide me with details on what and where to check exactly?

And also, I just want to say that I really don't have the money to take it to the dealership right now.. that's why I am asking you guys to help me.. Because at the dealership they will charge me 100+ dollars JUST to see what's the problem!!! and if it's a simple problem like a fuse or something.. I don't want to pay 100+ dollars on that.. you know what I mean??

Is it possible to provide me with test scenarios? to check if like the battery/alt is okay? (cuz this is what I am mostly scared of)..

ANY help would be MUCH appreciated..

Thanks in advance..

That sounds like a battery problem to me, mostly because I had the same problem. Have you ever changed the battery? What is the mileage on your car? You should look into replacing your battery esp if you have never changed it since you bought it. IMO it doesn't sound like it is the alternator, just go to your local costco and buy a battery and bam you are good to go.

Do you know what a fuse is?

It's not the fuse.
