Unhappy Engine check light code:p2009

The engine check light recently turned on while i was driving a couple days ago. I took it down to auto zone and the OBDII read intake manifold runner control circuit low bank 1.

how can i fix this?

is the APV the problem?
the read from auto zone also says is: variable tumble control system (VTCS)- solenoid valve circuit low input. what does this mean?

Those are messages that are defined by the OBD2 standard, so I wouldn't exactly take them word for word. In our vehicles, generally a P2009 is thrown along with a P2004 which both relate to the APV being stuck. Common issue.

would using seafoam do the trick insetead of having to take the APV out and move it manually?

That isn't a CEL that will auto-clear. Reset it, wait a few drives cycles and see if it comes back.

the cheapest and easiest thing you can do is, Fill the car up, and go out to the "emptiest" high way and drive the **** out of it for 10-20 minutes. DRIVE THE **** OUT OF IT means constant full throttle 9K rpm ... back down to around 5K, then go up to Full throttle 9K again. keep doing it for a while and "usually" it will free whatever is stuck.

^ if you do that, get some method of watching coolant temps. Just so you can hold it lower a bit if you start to get too hot. Don't just rely on your oem temp gauge.

According to MM,yes, there is no such PID of p2009. He says that it is likely the S-DAIS(Sequential Dynamic Air Intake System) and it is probably FUBAR.

OR

it might be APV motor control circuit/short or low, but I can’t confirm that.

Not sure what to think of this.
