engine dead?
ok this seems to be the year of problems with my 8. i was driving down the road and all of a sudden the rpms drop to about 3k, alot of sputtering, wont rev any higher no matter how much gas i give her and tons of smoke and the cel flashed till i could stop. sounded like a muffled machine gun going off and as soon as stopped she turned off. i just replaced coils/plugs/wires 2 months ago. any ideas? blown coil? engine dead?

Please give us all the info on your car, miles, year, service done, mods, etc. You need to get the code read to see the problem. Has it been flooded? It could be cat or fuel pump...we need to know more...

its a 05 at 4 port, 70,000 miles. it has a aem intake and midpipe. codes are p0302, p0139, p2096. i know most of these are being thrown due to the midpipe, but 0302 is a misfire on bank 2. so im guessing a coil/plug went bad? although i just replaced these two months ago so that would be extremely odd i would think. also, iv noticed oil dripping down into my intake filter and onto my air dam when i drive her hard and i do have a breather on the filler tube so theres no way its blowing back into the intake via that route bc that vacuum is capped off. it did not start blowing oil into the intake until recently and iv driven and tracked with this exact set up for two years.? maybe oil found its way to a plug and fouled it? any help would be extremely helpful as this is my only car at the moment. thanks a lot guys!
Edit: just pulled the intake off and oil is all over the butterfly in the throttle body. always been very careful to not overfill the oil and keep it under the full line on dipstick. so oil is def coming back up through the throttle body for some reason.

A misfire could do that I guess. If your leading plug failed to fire on time and your trailing caught it you would exhaust through your intake and exhaust ports plowing oil and everything else all over the place. Check your plugs, coils and wires and verify everything is still connected. You might try cleaning your intake up and replacing your plugs to see if it was just a simple misfire but there are no promises as to whether or not it is blown. With your miles I would pull your midpipe and intake and take it into the dealer and hope that it can be taken care of under warranty.
