Engine Management Light
Hi All,
I need help, i was driving my RX8 to work this morning and my Engine Management light come on the dash board. I continued to drive my car and it was running as normal? Will this harm my car or could you suggest the fault?
Cheers

The only way to tell what's happening is to hook and obd reader up and get the codes.
Since you didn't experience any other inconvenience it may be just a faulty o2 sensor or a bad catalyzer.
A bit of car history?

I assume you mean the check engine light (CEL)
Here is a list of possible codes that it could be:
https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-tech-garage-22/rx-8-technical-info-cel-codes-pcm-pin-list-collision-guide-26291/ (yes, that is 115 possible codes)
And yes, it could be anything from you didn't tighten the gas cap the whole way to your ignition is failing to your intake valves have issues to your emissions equipment is failing to your engine has imminent failure.
The light by itself doesn't tell us anything.
Was there anything else going on at the time the light came on? Any power issues, any idle issues, any hard start, etc...
