I have an 04 rx8, and when I shut the doors the blue dash light starts to dim then go off. At that time ive seen the entry lights on the side of the doors go off as well. Recently the door entry lights have started to stay on all the time after the dash light dims and goes out. I pulled the light bulbs out of the door so the battery doesnt die. Ive checked the fuse and the fuse looks great and not blown. The dome light and the map light stay on as well as the door lights. Ive switched the dome light and map light to off position if that tid bit of info helps. In the dash, there is the door ajar light, and the door ajar light in the dash goes off so I know its not the switches on the rear door. Im sooo confused and have no idea where to start. Any help would be greatly appreciated as im lost....

Just noticed it the past couple of days - only work i've recently just changed my brakes and i dont think it has to do with it..

Car ON & OFF - MAP, Door Lights & Dome remain ON if it's in DOOR setting

Dash doesnt indicate that the doors are open. No clue what it could beeeeeeeee

The only thing that can switch the lights on in those circumstances is the 'keyless control module'.

I'd try a battery disconnect to reset it's stupid brain, otherwise it's a new module, and you better hope a wrecker has one....
