Exhaust hardware (help)
Hi rx8club! My name is Rich, happy to finally be a part of this community. (I read these forums all the time as rx8's are my favorite cars)
I recently bought a Rx-8 from a buddy and the car is primo. I love her. I do have one slight problem though. The exhaust hardware is loose and i need to change the silencer and the bolts on it or i will not pass inspection. It is also throwing a CEL. I am having a very hard time breaking these bolts loose on the exhause and was wondering if anyone had any tips to loosening them. I have tried using wd-40, i also tried the PB blaster lubricant to try and loosen them. To no avail.
I have seen some of the DIY posts on here and i know you all are very passionate about the work you do, and i appreciate any info you have. I hope someone can help me, i would hate to pay someone to do it, when its DIYable.
Thank you for your time,![Bowdown](https://www.rx8club.com/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)

The easiest method for removing rusted/stuck exhaust bolts is to take the car to a corner little repair shop, and pay them $20 or so to put the car on a lift and break the bolts free and/or remove the bolts and replace with hardware you hand them. Then drive the car home and lift it up, loosen the fresh bolts easily and proceed from there.
By far and away the easiest and cheapest solution.

Thanks for the advice, i will surely try to do that. The only problem with that is the closest corner Shop to me is 40 miles away, and the car is not tagged yet. If needed i will do so, is there any other options?
