Failed remote ;/
Hi all,
I got a seriosu issue with my keyless remote controll ;/
It's a FCC ID: KPU41805 VISTEON: 41848 so it's separate from the key.
Now I don't know anything about those things so I gave it to people who make a living on fixing those things but none of tchem could fix it. Seems like I need to buy a new one - thats ok.
The problem is that I have only 1 remote controll fob and it's broken.
If I buy a new one.. still the car is locked and the alarm is on...
I can open the doors using the key but that doesn't turn off the alarm.
Now if I buy a new remote I believe the car won't let me program it while the alarm is on...
How can I disable or turn off the alarm so I can program the new remote ?
Thanks in advance

Always utilize the Search key; the links I posted will get you started, now read up: switch-blade key on an 04?, DIY: Code your NEW key yourself
About disabling the alarm. You need to temporary pull the fuse for the horn until you get your new FOB or have it fixed. I think you may have to check your connections and if you're the DIY type of guy, here are more links you can look into regarding your alarm. It's a whole weekends work if you decide to go this route. Doors and Liftgate, Glass/Windows/Mirrors, and Security and Locks.
