Flooded, then Engine Light On?
So for the second time in 3 months the RX-8 flooded. Luckily, this time I knew what to do. So I did what the manual said which didn't work, then did the pulling of the fuse. Sure enough that worked pretty quick. Then it started and I let it idle, but the power was gone. I could barely do more than coast in it and it would not rev. The check engine light was on. Pulled it into the garage and Mazda said it could need a decarb. Went back out, it started fine and revved fine, but the engine light was still on.
I drove it to the dealer and everything ran perfect. I had to leave it there overnight for a diagnosis ($117.00) but does anyone know what this might be? I hope it is under warranty since it is a known issue with the car.

Got back from the dealer who said that it looked like the cat collapsed and brought the engine light on. All covered under warranty thankfully, but it will be a week before I get it back because they have to ship the cat from CAN, and with Good Friday off up there, the soonest they will have it is Wednesday.
Could have been a lot worse. There was another RX-8 there who needed a new engine because the idiot only used synthetic oil, and therefore, he has to pay out of pocket for it.
