foam in oil

i checked my oil b4 i drove back to NC from MI and when i checked it, it had a tan-ish foam to it.Can anyone tell me why there is foam in my oil?

A) why is this in major horsepower upgrades?

B) Incredibly common issue. So common that it affects every RX-8 in cold weather, every year. See the new owner's link in my sig, post #2.

well im new to the rx8 club and was seeing how to work this page....and thanks for the tip. a buddy of mine said it mite be a blown head gasket.

Your buddy isn't aware that the RX-8 doesn't have a head gasket. A head gasket requires an engine block head, which means a piston engine. We don't have a piston engine.
