Fourth Gear's Scaring Me
About three weeks ago, I noticed that sometimes when I shift in to fourth, it grinds. I thought that maybe I wasn't pushing the clutch in all the way or something, but I was. It doesn't grind every time, but the majority of the time it does. I don't know whether I should go out and buy a new tranny or what? Any advice would be appreciated.

This is not a uncommon problem .... unfortunately it likely means the syncro's are going...
Some people (myself included) have found relief by changing the trans fluid.
I'll tell you what worked for me is Redline MT90
But you will find many different opinions out there.
Just remember changing the fluid doesn't fix anything .... but it may buy you some more time..

I had the same problem, and it only happened if I shifted into 4th at a really high RPM, at first, 7500rpm or higher.
Then it got worse and started around 6k rpm. I changed my transmission oil to Redline MT90 and it helped..a lot. It's not gone however. But it doesn't grind unless I'm shifting at redline, at or around 8k RPM.
I'm guessing some damage has already been done, but the redline did help.
