NJ Frame Damage

Ok I had a lil front end damage.

Not much at all but while trying to fit a front end back on the car I noticed that the kit did not fit even as it should. I figured I was crazy while examining the front end I uncovered a hint of slight frame damage. I figure this is what is throwning the front end fitting off line. Does anyone know how much or what I can do to pull this frame even again. (It is not much damage at all not even noticable to the eye)

Newark NJ here and I am having the kit put on by kenny but I need to get the frame even before I send it to him.............

Any info on this would be great thanks all

Assessing frame damage is best left to the pro's.

You'll need to take the car to a good body shop where they aren't just out to make a buck off you (ask around to car dealers, long-term residents of your area).

The car needs to go onto an alignment rack. They have all the measurements for the RX-8. They will tell you: (a) whether it is out of true; and, (b) whether it can be fixed (almost certainly) or is worth fixing.

Now, on the other hand, if you are talking about fitting an aftermarket body kit, then chances are the car is straighter than the kit.

About the kit

The kit is a carbon Creations CF-GT comp Kit. It is factory fit. So I assume that is isn't not like my 93 Eclipse Kit that we had an azz of a time with.... (it was the reason I bought the kit I did. I wanted the perfect fitment..) So let us hope that the kit is striaght lol... Thanks for info I geuss I should just bring the ride up to Kenny and leave it there and pay him the green rectangular paper till the Car looks like I want it......

Well Kenny this will be more work for you then I thought at first ehehheheh!!!

I would reckon that you're only looking at a charge of about an hour of labor to answer your question.

Just to clarify, but my guess of the hour is to get the car on the rack, set up the lasers (or bits of string ) and do the measurements.

The cost of fixing is entirely dependent on what they find.

Fingers crossed. Good luck.
