Freeway driving, engine doesn't want to run as good...halp

So when I drive on the freeway I redline it once so it can get me up to speed, but the thing is when I get to where ever I am going and i try to redline it again my engine sounds like its struggling and makes some type of noise like somethings inside it, but this only happens when I drive on the freeway. When ever i drive around the town it never does that...
I dunno has this ever happend to anybody? or what do you guys think it is
I have a 06, with only 40,000 miles on it :/

Do you have a CEL? What are the error codes? If you don't know, go to the auto parts store and see if they have the equipment to read them. Advanced and Auto Zone will provide this service. Others may too.

It could be your cat is starting to clog up. Pull the front of it down and see if you see a good honeycomb pattern. The nuts are on the engine side of the flange.
