Grinding Gears and Weird Unknown Noise

lMziTAb8sshttp://

Link to the video with problems...(Sorry about cursing...I was angry :/ )

Any answers? I'm going to replace the clutch today unless there's a reason why I shouldn't...

Thanks in advance!

I had been reading up on that a lot but when I took it to Mazda they said nothing about that...any advice?

EDIT: I checked my car and there is a slight squeak when releasing the clutch...Not sure if that means anything or not

Usually a squeak is a sign of a failing clutch pedal.

You have some nasty problems man, you should replace your clutch immediately.... The job is a giant PITA, took me about 18 hours, stop driving your car if you have chunks of clutch coming out of your starter hole.

You also seem to have a bad neutral switch, and a failing T/O bearing.

Also get some gas.

Your best bet is to drive up a steep hill jump out of the car and collect insurance.

interesting. it does it about 45 mph but its not dependent on the rpm. it did it at 45 at 3k and at 45 at 1500 or 2k.

what modifications had you made to the car. list anything that you have changed or that has been changed

So I called my local Mazda today and they said there should be an abnormal noise if the clutch assembly is breaking...what would that unknown noise be? They also said I pretty much have to wait until the clutch completely breaks before they'll replace it because it wasn't a recall. So how am I supposed to know if there's a crack in it without spending $85 to get it inspected?

I really don't have the money...I'm a freshman in college barely getting by as is...I bought this car when I lived with my parents and had plenty of money to cover the payments on it...now I'm out of the house and working 40 hours a week as well as going to school 15 hours a week...if I could sell it I would but I know I won't get near as much as I bought it for...I'm pretty much screwed...

Put the 8 in your parents garage and buy a bicycle.

That's my second option...then I'd be paying for a car I don't use tho...

This whole situation is a lose-lose-lose for me...
