I have a 05 rx8 and it has a rebuilt motor 85000kms on it and it was running perfectly for weeks and then 3 days ago I premixed it it fired up perfectly like always but when I tried starting it the second time it took a rly long time to start so I thought I buy too much oil in the gas so I drained half the tank and put in fresh gas again and it’s still the same. Idk what happened but it takes a rly long time to start and when it does start the idle is rough it sounds non consistent like “puff, puff, puff” like what a rx7 sounds but yet it drives normal I have no clue what could be wrong. Maybe the spark plugs? Cuz I checked the coils and there working like there suppose too. The plugs were a little brownish but idk if that’s normal or not and they had a little oil them too

the fuel pump is new
I cleaned the throttle body already
MAF sensor is clean
coils r good

That doesn't sound right at all. And this happened suddenly? Are you consistently cranking it or is it holding an idle that low? It's hard to tell from the video

I have the same problem with my 06 rx8...it doesn't start at all...I got 82k miles on miles. I live in Houston TX and apart from the cut throat madda dealership here I have no idea how to get hold of a mechanic with knowledge of rx8 rotary engine cars. Had the car towed to a mechanic...HE CHARGED ME $200 to fix it only to come and tell me the head gasket is messed up so I need to change the whole engine. I was like dude rx 8 don't have no head gasket!!!
Now car is stuck in garage and I have no idea what to do with it!
