has anyone have this problem
well i let the car idle for awhile and drove it at low rpm. i head over to bk with some friends for coffee and came back out to start the car. i push in the clutch and turn the key and no cranking sound at all so i tried the push in the clutch and gas pedal and turn the key and hold it for 15sec and it usually started but it didnt. this had happen to me three time but the other 2 time i manage to start it up. it had check engine light on power steering light on and battery light on. i recently bought this rx8. its a 2004 rx8 gt with 63039 miles on it.
new engine replacement and new clutch was replace
replaced front and rear pads and turned rotors
replaced o2 sensor
balance 4 new tires
well i was stuck at bk for awhile and got the car towed to mazda the next day i went up there to get the car and they said they couldnt fine what is causing this problem. i start it back up and let it sit for awhile and drove back home. hopefully the car wont do that again especially when im in the car with a girl i like it was embarrassing and my dad had to pick us up.

Like DeViLbOi pointed out, you need to inspect the switch.
He is referring to the starter interlock switch, which is located on the right-side of the clutch pedal assembly and you'll see the switch's white plunger make contact with a green pad.
Press in the white plunger on the switch and try to start the car if it happens again.
With you pressing this switch, there is no need to press the pedal in.
