having issues starting my 8

I've got and 04 with just over 100k. The only mods are a cat delete aswell as removing the VFAD. When tring to start my 8 it sounds sluggish turning the rotors and takes 10 or more seconds to start, and sometimes it will not start unless pushed or pulled off but that only happens when I shut the engine off before the car has warmed up. I have no loss of power and the only fixes I've tried so far is cleaning and checking the gap on my plugs. I'm thinking the ignition coils need replacing but wanted to ask on here before going that route any ideas?

I've searched the forums and most are saying that it's either compression or a starter issue. But once started and warmed up there is no loss of power and the engine turns over without problems it just doesnt seem to fire.

Not to be obvious, but have you had your battery tested?

Hard starts is the first symptom of an engine gone bad.
When you do start it does it smoke? Have you had the compression checked?

Sabbath, in the 100k the car has traveled, have the coils, plug wires or plugs been replaced. Have you cleaned the EES, MAF sensor etc ...

I bought the car with 96K on it, and have cleaned and checked the plugs which still are giving optimum spark. I cleaned my MAF sensor when i removed the screens. I'm replacing the battery with one which has more starting amps since mine is still the stock battery which came with the car. Plan on replacing coils here soon. To answer the question aout smoke so far I have not noticed any smoke other than from starts on cold days, and no compression test but if rotarys show the same signs as V8s do when compression gets low the engine should still be fine.
