having problems starting

hiya everyone ! got a problem with starting ? the rx8 was standing for a couple of days and when i tried to start her all i got was turn the key all the way ?nothing no clicking no noise at all ?the radio is on and when i turn the ignition to start! the radio goes dim and i forgot there is no volume on the radio?the ignition lights up and all the lights up ok ? it does not go dim as it does with a starter motor problem it seems very weird to me ?has anybody any ideas please ?

Check your battery and the terminals.

Might be the battery. Bring the battery to Autozone or any auto store and have them check it out. The battery might just needed a recharge.

Make sure your battery terminals or tight on the posts as well. If you cant tighten them completely, replace the terminals, or for a temporary measure, just put a screw between the post and the terminal then tighten.

How old is the battery? Sounds like what the other users said. Was the trunk closed? Its light drains an old battery easily over a couple of days
