Hazard Lights Do Not Stay On

For some reason, I have to press and hold the hazard button in order to keep the hazard lights blinking. As soon as I let go of the button, the lights stop blinking.

The turn signals are working, and all bulbs are fine. All doors, trunk and hood are firmly closed when I hit the hazard button. The last time I used the hazard lights was over a year ago, and it worked fine. A couple of months ago I removed the deck and installed the Aux Mod, but I doubt that has anything to do with the problem.

Any ideas as to what can be causing this?

Sounds like your hazard button is getting jammed or is broken. It's an on/off toggle, and should lock on. If it appears to toggle on properly, the button contacts may be bad.

That button has only been pushed maybe twice in its lifetime, before this.

When you press the hazard button, does it actually 'click' and stay in a pressed-in position when it's on, and depressed when it's off? My button just bounces back and doesn't stay pressed-in, so I'm thinking that's the problem.
