Head unit issues with Bose system

Hello everyone I'm new to the forum here so I apologize if this has been asked elsewhere. I recently purchased a 2005 and while I love the car I have a curious problem. With the factory head unit set to fm all works normally but if I listen to a cd the cars left speakers don't work. Any suggestions?

So it IS working when the radio is on? Interesting. At first I thought of this: https://www.rx8club.com/do-yourself-forum-73/diy-bose-speakers-doors-not-working-$1-67-relay-fix-218790/

BTW, searching extensively before you ask questions is a great way to get the attention you need, just an FYI.

While you're at it, read this WHOLE thing twice: https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-discuss...t-here-202454/

I tap tested the driver door and it made no change. The interesting part is i can switch between FM stereo and CD as fast as I wish and the speakers will keep up. It does appear as though it is isolated to the CD function only

That's quite odd and you've already reached the limit of my familiarization with the workings of our stereo system. Good luck!
