headilght out, but it's not the bulb or a fuse
my left headlight is out, so I went and bought a bulb and put it in today, only to find that the new bulb won't light, either. and the original bulb doesn't look burnt out. I connected the bulb up hanging loose to make sure it was plugged in properly.
I checked all the headlight fuses in the engine-bay fuse box. the right headlight is fine.
what should I check next?
thanks

the cord to the connecting the bulb plugs into looks fine. I don't have a line tester, unfortunately.
I'm guessing it can't be the relay, since there is only one relay for both headlights, and one of them works. does that sound correct?
that leaves me with either replacing the ballast, or looking for a short somewhere (i.e., getting a line tester). right?
thanks

If you have HID's its' the Ballast. I had the same issue, got a Lexus ballast of ebay (same Koito part number) for $100.00 and had to hack my headlight to get it in but overall it was pretty easy. It just connects right up but the problem is they put the ballast in before putting the headlight together. I have a thread about it somewhere.
Edit, you have a Touring so you do have HID's.
Here it is.
