Headlight level adjust

Headlight level adjust
The headlight level adjust warning light came on yesterday and today on my 04.
I was parked on a slope with lights off. Later after parking on level ground, still with lights off, the light was off again. First time I have seen this; has anybody had a problem with this?

Mine was on/off for about a week before it just went away on its own. My lights are now still visibly adjusting and working just fine for the last couple months. I've had a few electrical type gremlins that have occurred after:
1)car got snow pushed up under hood (heavy snowfall, plowing my way home after work)
2) had to drive through pretty deep water (flooded underpass)
Wondering if maybe moisture can cause this

Other way it to park up agaisnt a wall or the garage door. turn on lights.. pop the trunk. Go sit in/on the back of the trunk and watch for the lights to move after about 10 seconds.
