HELP - 2004 RX-8 Automatic O2 sensor part # issue!?!?

I have searched and found all sorts of answers, but not one to comfirm or deny my actual questions.

Is the front/primary/upstream O2 sensor the same or different between the automatic and manual?

I ordered one through Autozone; dealer wanted over $300 for it, and it came in short wired like the rear sensor. The numbers didn't match on the plastic verses the box, and the plastic had alrady been opened so we assumed someone had switched up the packing and sent the wrong part in the right box. Well this morning I am doing more research and I catch that they have the same part number; Bosch 15043, for the front and rear which means they messed up. So they most likely sent the right part to what the number is for, but not the actual part I need. I do see that some list one for auto and manual, and some just list it as upstream and down stream. I even got on to onlinemazdaparts to search, and they even show the same sensor for the auto and manual for the front. It does list them seperatly, but says item 20; which is a short wire where item 21 is a long wire, on the parts diagram for both sensors on the each of their parts listing and they are the exact same price. So now I am really unsure as to if they are different. I do not see why the transmission would make the car have different emmisions, though I am sure it does!? If they are infact the same then Bosch part #15042 should be correct; it comes up as manual, but if they are the same then that is what I need. Thank you in advance for the help.

Well I think I finally searched enough online to find an answer thanks to MazMart. They do show two differnet part numbers for thr front sensor based on transmission. So I guess I am going to have to order from them or see if I can find it cheaper; it is a $260 which seems so high, but I may be stuck buying it.
