I need help guys... I have a 2004 192ps 5 speed manual rx8, Im in the united kingdom. last week i have replaced my audio as the cd changer is not working. I have replaced with ripspeed dvd740 dvd single player, i have used the metra housing kit, but after i have installed the kit and testing that the dvd and audio sound is working fine.

But now my car wont start? Is doing my heading and i have been looking for solution on google, but with no luck.

I have been told that this mite be the imobilizer or the dsc malfuction.

what do you mean by "wont start". Does the car crank at all (i.e. is the starter trying to start the engine). By chance, did you disconnect the battery when installing the radio (if not there is a possibility you shorted something during installation and blew a fuse). Any noises when you turn the ignition to "ON" ? Dash lights? etc?. Need lots more info.

 

Yes it does crank and the starter is trying to start the engine but just wont start, i have check all the fuses and they r fine.but i have the dsc off light whcih is on when i turn key to acc which normally doesnt light up.
I have try the trick with turn the wheel to full lock left then to the right to set the light off.
But it still wont start.

Also my car never had starting problem

 

don't quote me on this, but i am pretty sure if it was an immobilizer issue the car wouldn't crank.

are you sure the car isn't flooded

 

I don't think so. It alway start 1st time so I dun think so. Also alway take care of the engine as I'm worried for floor and problem, let engine warm up, never switch off after 5min etc.
But I have tried to start with the flood method, but still won't start,

Did you disconnect the battery before working on the removal and install?

 

That I forgot to as I install it .... Lame as I was... But every electronic work fine apart from wont start... Any idea?

 

I'm not to sure about are cars but I know a lot of factory immobilizes actually cut the fuel pump hence you will have the car crank but won't fire.

 

Yeah that is what I'm thinking too. Also when I turn the ignition to on, the dsc light is on. Will that stop the carbto start?
