Help Please with Stalling After Coil Replacement and CEL Clear
The other day I recplaced coils, wires and plugs and the car ran like a dream. But, the CEL was still on, so after work the next day I pulled the battery cable and let it sit for 10 minutes and reconnected.
Now, the car runs well at speed still, but stalls every time I come to a stop. Needless to say, the commute is rather harrowing trying to keep it running at lights, etc (sometimes three pedals and two feet just don't add up!)
The CEL is out, but there's the stalling and also the traction control icon is lit.
What the heck happened? (and was it by disconnecting the battery?)
Thanks very much for any help

What was the Cel for?
You need to get that Cel identified
Check to make sure you installed the plug leads correctly.
TSC light might just need a reset. Turn the wheels all the way to the left than to the right.
This isn't happening because you disconnected the battery.
Something is wrong

RE: the stalling problem - interesting development - I had to make a couple of trips during work yesterday and the more I went, the more the problem seemed to clear. By the time I travelled home (and confirmed today), it's running and idling just fine.
Could it have been that due to the battery disconnect the system just needed to 're-learn' and get back to correct settings?
Thanks all for your replies.

Could possibly be due to disconnecting the battery, usually takes three or four cycles for the ECU to re-learn the fuel trim, that's from experience with my first before I had a reman-engine. Since you disconnected the battery, your CEL might have been erased at the same time; so next time, take wcs's advice to check what it is before you do anything else. It doesn't hurt to replace your ignition system with a fresh one, but you may have not fixed the actual problem without getting your CEL primarily read.
