Yes. Its not too difficult. The tool to open the gas lid is useful, otherwise you might break some tabs off with the hammer method (I used a hammer and pry bar). It works but I broke 2 tabs.

Make sure you melt the venturi thing shut or it will pop off and stop siphoning.These helped me with my gas pump project:

Currently installing my walbro pump into my oem assembly and don’t know exactly what to weld. can anyone share a picture or maybe a diagram? i know it’s the venturi cap on the pressure regulator but can’t find anything on where EXACTLY it is. May be a dumb question but never done this before. thanks in advance

You need to melt the top of the popoff valve, except in the picture for the link below he didn’t do it properly. The inner and outer piece need to be melted together all the way around the full diameter. Maybe use a solder gun/iron to melt/weld them together all the way around. Be sure you get all the gas out and it’s fully dry without any gas vapors.
