Holding back at 5 RPM, what could it be?
Hello all! I searched for a similar post but nothing comes up thats why I am doing this thread crossing my fingers that you guys can help me out.
Im having issues with my RX-8 2004. Today I experienced loss of power (holding back) at 5 RPMs.. I never had this problem before. Spark plugs were changed 6,000 miles ago, thought it could be the spark plugs again but its like "too soon" to replace them and there's no "misfire". I always use Shell V-Power gas 93 octane. I have no idea what could it be.. Any clue??
I really appreciate any help from you guys!!

Classic ignition coil or plug failure symptoms. Sometimes you will not get the misfire CEL or it will be random and not stay illuminated so you may not notice it. But without a maintenance history.................

Thanks so much for your help and suggestions guys. I went for a cruise again in my car, and all of a sudden everything is fine I never had any issues with my car except for today. It's weird, but now its fine. Sorry for the bother, thanks for you guys quick response. Anyway tomorrow I will check everything. I feel relieved now thanks so much again!

It's a big co-incidence that at 5k rpm the final two intake ports are fueled. Perhaps a sticky actuator? Do you wind the car up at least once per week?
