It has a larger actuator as well . Mazda must have got sick of them sticking closed and decided to push through the carbon with brute force .

I was thinking about going used, but apparently these things are made of glass. Figured new was the safest bet :/

And yeah I have an 09. Apparently there is 3 different versions of this sucker...

I personally never had any problem with the original version. The actuator only has to overcome the carbon of an engine that sh-t the bed so badly that it had so much blowby and was pushing oil into the intake. Even the worst one in the picture of four used SSV's that Brettus showed was not any where near enough to cause that issue.
