Generally, if you are not experiencing any problems with the car, don't worry about which flash your have. If you have problems and think a flash to the latest version (N) might help, then by all means go for it. Go to the listing of TSB's (link below) and print out the latest bulletin that begins: "Engine no start...". Take that to a dealer and ask them to update your PCM because you think the newest flash will help correct your problem (insert your problem here).

If his programming device (WDS) is up to date with the the latest version, the process should not take any longer than an hour or so. (Thats actual work time not necessarily waiting time.) If their WDS needs to be updated before flashing your PCM, it could take several hours. MAKE SURE THEY UPDATE THEIR WDS TO THE VERSION NOTED IN THE TSB!

if your car was built befoer march 12th 2004 and has had no flash updates you need one. if your car was built after march 12 2004 and has had NO updates you do not need one. if you car is before march 12th then you will have either gotten a lettter or you are about to get one and perhaps even a phone call telling you to bring it in for the MSP04 work. they would still like to get everyone up to the current level and are goign to be really aggressive abotu contacting people. if you car was built after march 12 2004 and you have had a flash and no wyou get alot of cels you need to get in for the newest flash. if you do not fall into one of the "need a flash" groups as i have outlined then dont worry until you have some problem.
