Idle help please....
OK I have an 05 Shinka with 37000 miles. I bought the car last year. Since I have owned the car i've been chasing the bad idle. I have read almost every thread pretaining to this. My problem is random though. Some times it's the best running car I could want, then all of a sudden it wants to stall and idle like ****. I have to sit at a light with my foot on brake and holding down the throttle at the same time so it doesn't stall. Power seems to be ok throughout the rpm range. Do notice when you rev it up it has a lag before reving. Not as responsive as I would think it should be, but the problem has been there since I bought the car so i just figured it might be how Rotarys run. It seems to happen more after getting on it, not abusing the car but brining it up to around 8k.
Here is a list of what I've done.
Coils
Plugs
Wires
Seafoam
Clean MAF
Clean TB
K&N Drop in
Car has no other mods done to it. Pretty much all stock but the KN drop in. And the Vfad removed.
Thank you for any help. Like I said read a lot of the threads about this but not getting a clear answer as to WHAT the problem ended up being. I will be posting the final solution to my problem, when I find it.

Anyone?
Also after reading much about a possible clogged cat I went for a ride last night. Only about 6-7 miles. When I got home checked under for a glowing cat. The whole cat was not glowing but it was just around the sensor. Is this normal? Or should I look into that being the problem. Really love my 8 but at this point i'm about to give up on it and move on. Really sucks stalling at lights looking like a tool when you restart.

I'm actually going through this right now, https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-trouble-shooting-95/so-many-ugh-198254/, check it out. I'm replacing the catalytic converter hopefully this week, clean the MAF and TB, which seems to have oil EVERYWHERE....hopefully it will do the trick. Good luck! At least we've all been in this situation once!
