induction kit problem

Hi all
Ive fitted a induction kit to my rx8 last week and when im parked up with the engine running the rev counter is very jumpy, ont all the time but most of the time. Ive reset my ECU by disconnecting the power for a bit but its the same jumping between 1100rpms to 700.

when i fitted the induction cone i fitted it in the air filter box its self with only a 2inch hole out the top as the air flows right into the box anyway.

any ideas ?

thanks craig

Try resetting it by doing the 20 brake stomps. Search for a how-to

It would be helpful to know exactly what kit you installed.

Throw that in the trash bin and put your stock intake back in.

well the rubbish cheap induction kit i bought is not allowing enough air through when below 10mph causing the car to nearlly stall its that bad. Ive reset ECU and no improvement.
i did think that the cheaper one would be ok as there a simliar design a mean how different could they be.

think i might go for a supercharged intake with KnN filter but ill see. Anyone rate these?

thanks craig

LOL Now you're just having a laugh.
Is he having a laugh?
You're having a laugh.

Do you have a link for said 12v supercharger?

Don't think it will flow enuf air if it's what I'm thinking of and even if it did you'll need to tune your car to use it.

You don't have many choices. It's either stock or AEM\mazdaspeed.

electric superchargers are the shiznit.

I have 3 of them. One on the intake behind the aluminum thing with the plate that turns, and one right before each of my custom 5" exhaust tips. Between those and my fake bov, i have the fastes and meanest sounding 8 in my area.

Stick with the stock airbox. Can't go wrong with it.
