Intake Manifold Issue

Well this is a really a 2 in 1 question to be honest. First question that I have is, should the area near the oil cap have a small space in it? I have a picture so you can see the area I am talking about. The area in question is near a sensor and the second question is where can I buy a transmission mount? Currently I was told buy a mechanic that I need a new one as mine is just hanging in place and rattling against the exhaust pipe. Thanks for the help.

Upper Intake Manifold Question

I have looked all over the forums and can't seem to get an answer to this question I have. Should there be space purge solenoid on the upper intake manifold? If you see the picture I attached there is enough room to slide things under it and I was wondering if this is normal.

Did you pull something out of those connectors? I haven't owned my car long so can't remember from memory but I believe there is an emissions device there (? air pump).

Second part - I don't believe these cars have transmission mounts. When I was under the car, it looks like my Miata where the transmission is mounted to a brace.

that's just a bushing so the sensor doesn't move around. so it just rest on the plastic of the oil canister.

There is no transmission mount, rear of transmission is directly connected to rear diff via your Power Plant Frame (PPF) other than that just two engine mounts.

Ref 15 in attached image

Also your gap question is vague, if your referring to the space between the vapor canister purge solenoid and the body of the filler neck, it is indeed just a rubber bushing

btw i'd find a new mechanic

Off topic, is your engine in storage? That is a lot of dust.

Lol. No its not in storage its a par that I ordered because my I was told my manifold was cracked in the same area but I am starting to see that crack in all of them. So I'm starting to think that the mechanic I was using is dumb. I have since stop going there.
