What I meant is this: if you paid that much for those things, then no wonder you are whining about spending a lot of money on the car's maintenance.

I understand every car has it's issues but if you consider this stuff maintenance then you've got blinders on.

Unfortunately, all dealers take advantage of as many car owners as they can. In your case, $2200 for deflooding is preposterous, and you should not have accepted that quote. I don't know what exactly did they do, but it is just WAY too much. Look for info on this very board how much such a procedure usually costs. I doubt there will be many people who would have agreed to pay that amount. I think you got raped with that price. It is probably the same situation with the 'intake decarboning' (whatever that means).
Parts:
Ignition coils: $25 a piece
Plugs: about $80 for the set at forum vendors, like BHR, Mazmart etc. or here: leading, trailing (2 of each)
Wires: even the Racing Beat set is no more than $100, the regular set must be something like 40-50 bucks. Black Halo Racing has a MSD replacement set for a mere 60 dollars.
Compression test was mentioned as something like $150 if I remember correctly (I may be off here of course)... so parts should have been about $250, compression test $150 - still very far from $1300. Replacing those parts takes about an hour with regular hand tools.
You have to be aware that dealers will charge whatever they can and you you must be alert and do your research before paying what they ask for.
